Dropped in on spec. and was pleasantly surprised. The dining room was spotless and the staff really helpful. The meals were really tasty and of generous proportions. A minor criticism, hot plates would have been appreciated and benefited the food being served. But because of the overall value for money it would be mean to award less than 5 stars.

We decided to stop in the town for late lunch. Food was excellent and they had a list for gluten free. Enjoyable chat with the owner and a few locals in the bar. Unexpected find and appreciate the hospitality. I can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay.

We (4 adults) popped in lunchtime for a pint, coffees and snacks. Traditional old style pub takes cash only. It has Sky sports. The host was most helpful suggesting we visit Euchan Falls, as we may see salmon leaping he was right what a delight, thank you.
